Crochet Abbreviations & Descriptions & Free Pattern

1940s Beaded Beret & Bag #821

Since my first post was more about me, I thought in this one I should be getting down to business...or more to our craft.  So I'm going to Begin at the Beginning!

I'm often asked to explain some of the abbreviations that are used in my patterns.

I'm sure most of you know all the abbreviations and their meanings, but as an helpful aid to those who are just starting out, below is a list that I have found personally useful.

I'll close for now.  I just bought scads of baby yarn for a project that's been waiting on me.  It seems like every time I turn around some one wants a newborn ensemble in pink and white!  My favorite yarn for these is Lion Brand Pound of Love.  Right now I'm inundated in #101 Pastel Pink!

Please remember to visit my Etsy shop, Miss Julia's Vintage Patterns

The proceeds from the sales of my vintage patterns are used in support of rescue animals.

Please share my store with friends and family to assist in this effort.
